A Girl Scout cookie secret.

Am I the only one who didn't know about this? There are TWO different kinds of Girl Scout Cookies?!? Apparently they're made at two different factories and depending on where you live in the country you get one of those two kinds.

I saw the Girl Scouts outside the grocery store the other day and just about kicked myself after I checked my wallet and realized I had no cash. Today I saw them there again, and luckily I had just the right amount of cash to purchase four boxes. Weirdly enough, right when I got home I stumbled upon this article...

6 Girl Scout Cookies you thought you were getting but aren't

I couldn't believe it! I went to check my box of beloved Tagalongs...and it was true, they were not Tagalongs, but "Peanut Butter Patties." Same with my old second favorite, the Samoas..not Samoas but instead "Caramel Delites." Crazy!

Check out the map on the link above to see what cookies are in your area. I was a young Girl Scout (way) back in the day in Michigan, and probably haven't even purchased any since we left Michigan, so the column in the purple is all that I know. And now that we are in Houston, we're in the yellow cookie factory column. I'm curious to see if I can taste a difference.

 Interesting right!  x.
